Day 783 - Close Up

Working on my Project 52 assignment, "Close Up".  My family jokes about how I use to shoot "bugs" all the time.  I actually haven't had the Macro Lens out in awhile, so this assignment is fun.  Not sure I will use this one, and I have a few more days to shoot.  However, it is my favorite from today.

Day 777 - Spring Showers

Was hoping to get out and get some shots of the bluebonnets this afternoon, but a spring shower and windy conditions resulted in some not so great macro shots.  However, I did like these two shots of the yellow flowers with the raindrops on them.

Day 776 - Cat Purse

Our cat loves laying in an open purse or backpack.
I think Jenga missed me.  Looking forward to some camera-time tomorrow.

Day 775 - Poker Face

When the world is turned upside down by adult issues, an eight-year old (who is going to build his first car with Firebird and Camero parts, BTW) with an XXX-Large shirt can bring out a smile.

Day 774 - My Dad

There has been a gap in my photoblog the past few four days.  My father passed away and while my camera has been with me, have really not felt like picking it up.  I truly was lucky to have one of the most wonderful fathers in the world.  I want to share the slide show I did in his honor.  May my father be at peace.  I am thankful for my family, and can only say I am proud to be the daughter of this amazing man.

Day 773 - Holding Hands since 1944

My parents tonight, are facing another challenge in the life they have built with each since they were 16.   This picture of their hands is nothing amazing, but it symbolizes to me the strength they have for each other.  As they move through this journey, I remember something my father wrote in my mother's high school yearbook, "May our friendship be everlasting."   It has been.

Day 768 - Shadow Pose

Thinking guys are just not "represented" enough in photographs.
Decided to feature the only male model from this weekend seminar.
Saving for that 24-70 Nikon Lens now.
So many "I wants" got added from this weekend!
