Day 339 - Friends in the Kitchen

Not much time for pictures today as I wrap up the quarter at work, and my daughter and her friend work on some baked goods for tomorrow night!

Day 338 - Dreamin' of Diving

Yeah, this was just my son's aquarium today (which I cleaned), but anytime I see fish I want to grab my scuba gear. I have a cold and don't feel great, just think I am needing a dive trip here real soon!

Day 337 - Post Processing Fun

Watching the SPURS and taking some pictures.  SPURS win, and I played with my photo.

Day 336 - Back to Work

Probably the most "meaningful" ornament on the tree today.
Love that morning coffee!

Day 335 - Home!

Waiting for our bags.and they had a display of "guitars" at baggage claim.  This one caught my eye of in tribute to Janis Joplin.  A "Piece of My Heart" is always here in Austin.
Travel is fun, but so glad to be home!

Sun's up, and you can see the snowcapped mountains!

Day 331 - Just Do It

In response to the Daily Shoot Prompt "Make a photograph of a circular or round object today."  I guess the Christmas tree was an obvious choice for this one!

Played with some "posterizing" within Picniks with the same photo

At least there are lights!

Day 325 - Simba Guards the Tree

Once again, a busy work day and not much time for pictures.  However, Simba, is once again back "guarding" our Christmas Tree as the day comes to a close.

Day 322 - Nose-to-Nose

In response to Daily Shoot Prompt "Make a photo of a pair of subjects today. People or inanimate objects are both fair game! "  I even managed a little time to play with the Bokeh Kit tonight against the tree lights.

Day 320 - PopTart Balance

I was at a swim meet today taking pictures of the swimmers, and went to the concession stand.  There was this adorable little boy waiting on his mom.  He found a way to amuse himself by trying to balance a PopTart on his head.  I just loved the different "blues" in this picture and the wonderful intent (but playful) look on his face.

Day 319 - Oh, yeah...on my mind!

In response to the Daily Shoot Prompt, "What makes you anxious? Illustrate it in a photograph today. "   Yeah...not for me but for my daughter.  May the choices be done by Christmas!

Day 318 - 1955 was a Very Good Year!

At 11:52 pm...took this picture of my computer screen!  Off to order now!

Day 315 - Sky...Lights

Sitting at the light waiting to turn for home, I was admiring the sunset...
my camera was next to me.  I shot this one in attempt to capture the sky, but got some interesting light streams from the cars as well.  Not much time for pictures today, so will use this one for this blog.

Day 314 - Final Fall Colors

Took this picture this morning in Landis Park in New Braunfels.  A cold-front had moved through last night.  While we don't get much color change in the leaves in central Texas, there is some.  I like the way a few colored leaves can be seen faintly in the distance.

Day 313 - Alone on the Tree

Lights are on the tree, but we will not decorate until our senior gets home from her college visit tomrrow night. However, I shot this picture tonight with a lone "gingerbread man" on the tree.  Go Christmas!

Day 312 - Wall Art at Trinity

Taken at Trinity University in San Antonio with my iPhone.

Day 310 - "You Lookin' at Me?"

Really love how blue the sky is in the background and how bare the trees are (except for that single colorful leaf in the background).  It was a very cool morning and the birds were all very active in the trees outside my favorite breakfast taco place.  Did a little work with Picnik for the first time to make this photo work for the Daily Shoot Prompt, "Use vignetting in a photograph today."

Day 308 - Loop 360 Celebrates the Season

Loop 360 is a very scenic road around Austin.  Along the road are some evergreen trees which people sneak out to decorate every Christmas.  It makes me smile.  I saw my first one today so I thought I would share.  I am including a picture from the road that I took this weekend as well.

Day 307 - Austin Morning Special

On my way home from the airport this morning, the sky was just spectacular at sunrise.  I took this shot from the observation area off of Loop 360 in Austin overlooking the downtown.  If you look closely on the left, you can see the dome of the Capitol building and on the right is the Frost Tower.

In Response to the Daily Shoot Prompt,  "The dictionary defines a vista as a pleasing view. Make a photo of a vista that pleases you today. "

Day 306 - High Five for those that Serve

Went to the Chuy's Parade today.  When the National Guardsmen came by, everyone started clapping.  A little boy sitting on the curb reached out to high-five one of the men in uniform.  I liked the moment.  Thanks to everyone in uniform that is serving our country and may be away from home for the holidays.

Day 305 - Go Ahead and Jump!

Lunch at Southside BBQ then to the Christmas Tree Farm in Elgin to cut our Christmas Tree.
Best tradition ever!

Day 304 - Reflect and be Thankful

Sit and take some time today to reflect on all those people and things (positive or negative) that make you who you are. Be thankful.  Mom & Dad, miss being with you today.  Thanks for always making a big deal about holidays when I was young!

These shots were taken in the park before the expected cold front.

Day 303 - Holiday Flights

Glad I am home..but safe travels to all of you who are traveling!  Little tough with the Bokeh kit tonight with my new camera especially without my remote shutter and tripod...but I will get better

Took this as a result of the Daily Shoot Prompt, "!Illustrate the process or thought of traveling today, possibly by documenting your own travels."

From Daily Shoot Prompt:
"Go white on white today. Make a photograph of a white subject on a white background."

Day 301 - Hidden Bugs

So, this flower is the first thing I saw when I jumped out of my car at the lake today...didn't see the "bugs" until I downloaded the pictures (may want to enlarge the picture to see).  I love surprises!

Day 300 - Different Day, Different Song

BROWN, VIVID, and BRICK

Liked this bird photo a lot this morning.  I think it will do for BROWN...but will post those results in my JUST SHOOT ME PhotoBlog

Day 299 - Unremarkable

No computer, and the only pictures are from my iPhone.  Today was just cleaning, cooking..and laundry for everyone.  No fun.  Not much of a Saturday.  Hard to believe it is this time in the evening and don't know where the day has gone.

Time to write this day off early and hope for a better tomorrow.  Day 299 was unfortunately unremarkable.
