Day 247 - OUCH

In response to the Daily Shoot Prompt "Create a photo that illustrates the word "ouch" with your own personal interpretation."  I immediately thought of a book on my shelf.  I bought this book after going to a Bullfight in Malaga, Spain. Great memories and glad to get my macro lens out of the bag tonight!

Day 245 - Different Day

So UCLA just simply embarrassed Texas on the football field yesterday.

Went to clean the stadium this morning with a much different view that Day 231.

My daughter left today for her first college visit on her own.  Hope she has a great time.

Feeling like this is the beginning of a new journey for her.

Day 241 - Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad

My picture of the day to keep me honest is of my frequent morning stop!

But the post today is a picture taken many years ago of my Mom and Dad in high school...and then one taken by my daughter earlier this year(which may I say is one I wish I had taken...beautiful)

. Happy 58th, Mom & Dad.  Neither are my pictures, but wanted to honor their special day.

Day 237 - Foggy Morning from the Top of the Hill

Not much time for pictures today, but did manage to snap this one at the top of the hill.  Very foggy, but the power lines looked kind of "graceful" across the valley.

Day 235 - Where did that come from?

We had so much rain the last few weeks, the ground is so wet.  As I pulled out of my driveway this morning, I spotted this mushroom growing at the top of the driveway.

Day 233 - Gingerbread Men Waiting....

Long day at work, summer is ending, kids are in school...then I found these cookie cutters in my kitchen, and it made me smile. Grabbed my camera and that red gel I hadn't used and snapped this shot.  Headed into fall and into the holidays thankful for all that I have.  Looking forward to the first REAL cool front!

Day 232 - Soakin' Up the Sun

Had to get out of the office for a bit.  Took a quick walk around the lake with my camera.  It is still REALLY warm (92 degrees) with high humidity.  However, this little guy was enjoying the warmth.  I really like the background colors in this shot.  Kind of makes me think fall is coming.

Day 231 - Oh that Orange Glow!

The Tower on the Unversity of Texas campus is lit up in "orange" after the win over Wyoming. Looks pretty against the morning sky as I head out to the "stadium cleaning" event.

Note to self:  Need fast lens, right size model on the lens "cap", and a single source light in dark area. 

Day 228 - Missed You Today

It is 11:00 PM and with a crazy day at work and at home, just figured out I didn't take a photo today.  So, with my iPhone, I took a picture of one of "my best friends" who I neglected today!  Glad tomorrow is Friday!

Day 226 - Go Ahead...JUMP!

Tropical storm Hermine is dropping lots of rain on Central Texas as we head back to work.  A good excuse to wear my rainboots!
