Day 213 - Kitchen Tools

Took this shot (with a blue gel) in response to the following Daily Shoot prompt:

I work on a computer all day, but look forward to getting home and spending time in the kitchen.  LOVE my knives...so they win as my favorite tool on a daily basis!

Day 212 - Third Most Wired City....

...and the school district sends home at least 10 forms for each kid (many the same)...and half of them I don't need to fill out as I don't qualify.  Are there some people at the district who can do the calculations here?  Perhaps I am just bitter as I wish summer was not over.

Summer is over, and we are packing to go back to school.  I will miss him!

Day 204 - Sometimes, a "C" job just has to do...

So, my computer went DOA on me tonight, and couldn't download pictures.
but in the spirit of the challange, I am downloading one picture of a flower that I took today on an old laptop we have.  Don't necessarily love it, but sometimes a " C" job just has to do.  Hope to get my computer back up and working tomorrow!

Day 201 - Morning at Mayfield Park

I love this place.  It is very peaceful this Friday morning before work with the sounds of peacocks and water in the pond.  Nice...very nice.  I had a Daily Shoot Challenge to use my wide angle lens, so I used my 35mm, 1.8 on this shot.  Happy Friday!

Day 191 - Creature on My Car

Coming back from my early AM ride from the pool, my son noticed this bug on my car's mirror.  Having my camera (and bag with my 105mm Macro Lens), thought I would get a few shots.  I am including two different shots.  I really kind of like the backlighting with the silhouette.

Day 190 - Peeking Behind Mom...

Day 189 - Sunday Morning Waterfall

Just got a new 35mm - f 1.8 Lens and thought I would try some waterfall pictures this morning.

Armed with my tripod and remote shutter release, I headed off to the prehistoric gardens at Zilker Park at 7:00am to get the best light.  I really played around with my camera settings and also did a few "automatic" for comparison.  May be posting those results on my "Just Shoot Me" photoblog later.

This was shot at shutterspeed of 2.5 at f/22.0 with an ISO of 100.

I think I am going to like this new lens!
